NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! NEWBIES ARE WELCOME!
JOIN US IN OUR 14TH YEAR! Now one of the largest scotch clubs in the country, the Single Malt Society offers a fun and informal setting, never snooty or pretentious. So whether you're a scotch veteran, or just beginning to investigate the many wonders of scotch, there's a place for you in the club.
The Single Malt Society has been featured in the Whisky Advocate Tasting Club guide, and the Inside the Cask international drinks blog.
2023 CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Each regular club meeting features a fun session theme, a specially-selected lineup of bottles, tasting notes, and a multimedia presentation.

To get new members up to speed and as a refresher course for veterans, this session will feature a crash course in the types of scotch whisky, how they're made, and what makes them different.
We'll sample bottles from Deageo's famous Distiller's Edition Series, including cask-finished limited releases of Dalwhinnie, Talisker, Glenkinchie, Oban, and Cragganmore — plus a World Whisky bottle.
There's a little bit of science and a whole lot of art involved in creating the unique flavors found in fine blended scotch, and we'll explore how the Master Blenders achieve this very complicated process.
Always one of our most popular session themes! Many newer members haven't been exposed to some great scotches we've sampled in prior years. At this event, we'll bring back some of those classic bottles.
We'll compare pairs of bottles of the same age in a head-to-head battle, one relatively more expensive than the other, and then decide if we think the more pricey one is actually worth the extra cost.
PLUS WE'RE BRINGING BACK OUR POPULAR NEW FEATURE:

Some of the bottles at regular sessions will hail from somewhere in the world other than Scotland! More and more countries are getting into the whisky game, and it should be fun to explore some of these interesting and exotic bottles.
SESSION THEMES SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO SCOTCH AVAILABILITY

We'll offer optional Bonus Sessions throughout the season for those who wish to attend, in addition to the club's regular five-session schedule. Examples might be: Putting on the Ritz, featuring a very pricey lineup of premium bottles, Peatstock, our annual groovy exploration of heavily-peated scotch, and the Chocolate Fest, our delicious pairing of fine whisky and hand-crafted artisan chocolates.
